Dr. Paul Carron
Associate Professor of Philosophy in the BIC
BIC Courses: Social World
Dr. Paul Carron is a faculty member in the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core. He explores various issues in the philosophical subfield of moral psychology. In particular, he seeks to discern the capacities - intellectual, emotional, psychological, and/or neurological - that allow us to hold each other morally responsible for our actions. He is especially interested in putting Aristotle and Kierkegaard into dialogue with empirical research in moral and social psychology. He is the coordinator of the team-taught course Social World I: The City and the Soul. He also regularly teaches a course on virtue theory and social psychology, and a biblical ethics course.
