Homecoming
Alumni Homecoming Talk
Every fall semester, BIC Alumni come to visit for one of Baylor's most cherished traditions, Homecoming. BIC Students and Alumni are
invited to attend a lecture with refreshments the Friday before Homecoming. Each year, a BIC Alum is invited to share insight and give a Homecoming talk to current students right after the World Cultures I class. This annual event reunites the BIC family across all generations. This year, the BIC Homecoming Talk was held on Friday, October 25, at 2:30 p.m., in the Bennett Auditorium (Draper 130).
Our Homecoming speaker was Priya Chandna. She proudly graduated from Baylor in 2021 with a degree in neuroscience. During her time at Baylor, she built a vibrant community and loved helping those around her. She served as a PI for Rhetoric for 2 years, as the president of the HRC, and was an energetic member of Baylor Crew. Her role as a PI was particularly rewarding, allowing her to mentor freshmen and help them make the BIC and Baylor feel like home.
After graduating from Baylor, Priya attended Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio to pursue a Master’s of Science in Nursing. While in grad school, she worked as a pediatric nurse on the inpatient neuroscience floor at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Upon graduating, she moved back to her hometown of Austin, TX and in hopes of practicing as a board-certified
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
She credits her Baylor experience, especially the BIC, with shaping her approach to patient care – transforming her from a nursing student to a compassionate, knowledgeable provider.
