Examined Life Mentors
Examined Life Mentors are upper-level BIC students who assist freshmen and professors in the first-semester BIC Course of Examined Life I. It is a paid position in which each Mentor is assigned to a class to provide freshmen a resource and friend with whom they can connect throughout the semester as they adjust to college life. Mentors attend both large and small group classes to assist the professor and offer different perspectives on the discussions that occur in class. Outside of class, mentors often will grab dinner or coffee with students to get to know them and offer advice. Being an Examined Life Mentor is an excellent way of serving the BIC community while making new friends among the freshman class.
