Dr. Ann McGlashan, Associate Professor of German, joined the Baylor faculty in 1990. She received her Ph.D. in German Literature and Women's Studies from Indiana University, Bloomington, her M.A. from Lancaster University, England, her State Teaching Examination from the Pädagogische Hochschule, Braunschweig University, Germany, and her B.A. from Hull University, England. She is the translator of Suddenly Everything Was Different: German Lives in Upheaval, by Olaf Georg Klein (Camden House, 2007), twelve stories of East Germans dealing with the fall of the Wall. She is a past-president of the Texas Conference of the American Association of University Professors, and is this year Chair of the Baylor Faculty Senate. Last but definitely not least, she is very proud of her Scots heritage.
