David Hendon, BIC Director (1998-2008)
As a professor in the Department of History, Dr. David Hendon is interested in modern Germany, the Holocaust, and approaches to World History. He received his Ph.D. from Emory University in History in 1976. When asked why he came to Baylor, he said, “When I was a graduate student at Emory University, I knew several people who had been undergraduates or M.A. students in History at Baylor. They uniformly spoke well of the department and of the university, and they thought that I would fit in well at Baylor.” His publications include “German Catholics and the Agrarian League” in German Studies Review, and he is a regular contributor to “Notes on Church and State” for the Journal of Church and State.
Dr. Hendon is Director Emeritus of the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core.
