Summer Advising
1. A BIC Advisor will send you an invitation for an appointment once you have confirmed your acceptance into the BIC program. We will advise you based on your degree and major along with the BIC requirements, which replace most of your general education requirements in your degree. First semester BIC classes include:
- BIC 1112 The Examined Life I
- BIC 1313 The World of Rhetoric
- BIC 1314 World Cultures I
2. BIC Advisors will also advise BIC students who are also in the Honors Program and/or University Scholars. You will only need to see your BIC advisor to be fully advised for your major, Honors requirements, and BIC courses.
3. Check out the 2023-24 Undergraduate Catalog for more information about degree plans.

Honors College Line Camp
This is designed specifically for incoming students who have been accepted to any of the four Honors College programs. New students who select to participate in this unique camp experience will be able to connect with other Honors College students as well as faculty and staff. The Honors College Line Camp is a wonderful way to find community and an outstanding way to learn more about the University as a whole.
