How To Apply

Your decision to apply to the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core is your first step toward an education that connects ideas, challenges assumptions, and prepares you for a future without limits.

Who Can Apply?

If you’re an incoming freshman applying to Baylor University, you’re eligible to apply to the BIC. Our program is part of the Honors College, and you’ll submit your BIC application through the Honors College common application. Remember, the BIC only admits students in the fall semester, so be sure to apply before you begin your time at Baylor.

8. Housing in the Honors Residential College (HRC)

Create a goBaylor account to apply to Baylor University. If you’re using Common App or Apply Texas, you’ll receive an email within 48 hours with instructions to activate your goBaylor account.

Log into your goBaylor account and locate the Honors College common application in your checklist or Academic Opportunities section.

Choose BIC as the program you want to apply to in the Honors College application. Fill out the required questions and submit your application.

No problem! Email us to add BIC to your Honors College application.

Once you’ve been accepted to Baylor University, the BIC Admissions Committee will begin reviewing your Honors College application. We use a holistic review process to consider all application materials.

Stay updated on your application status by regularly checking your goBaylor account and email for messages from the BIC Office.

If accepted, you’ll have the choice to confirm or decline your admission to the BIC. This step is critical and will influence your summer orientation advising assignment.

If you’d like to live in the Honors Residential College, complete the separate HRC application. Admission to BIC does not guarantee placement in the HRC, so apply early!
